January 24, 2014: Zack Snyder Eyeing Michigan Art Museum for Location Shoot

Snyder with MSU Staff When Director Zack Snyder posed for a photo with Michigan State University Athletic Director Mark Hollis and Basketball Coach Tom Izzo this week, it sparked speculation about whether or not Snyder was looking at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum there as a possible location shoot for the Superman/Batman movie.

"Obviously, we think it's great that our space is thought of for projects like this," said Jake Pechtel, director of public relations for the Broad. "From what I understand, Mr. Snyder really loved the space, and we'd be thrilled to be a location for one of his films."

You'll recall that the Michigan Film Office awarded the upcoming film an incentive of $35 million on the expected $131 million budget for what the production is expecting to spend in the area.

Meanwhile, Deadline.com reports that even though the release date was pushed back 10 months, filming on the Superman/Batman movie is still expected to start in February, as "the main players have been summoned to start work right away".
