January 22, 2014: Superman/Batman Movie News Roundup

Superman/Batman Movie There's been a flurry of news on the Superman/Batman movie today, from filming schedules to multi-picture contracts.

The Michigan Film Office has revealed that filming on the upcoming Superman/Batman movie, which was originally expected to begin in February in the Michigan area, will now take place "sometime this spring".

    "Because of the schedule changes, filming will likely start sometime this spring," wrote Michigan Film Office spokeswoman Michelle Grinnell in an e-mail to MLive.com.

    Grinnell said in the e-mail Warner Bros. hasn't hired a unit publicist for the filming in Michigan - yet. She also added that the Michigan Film Office can't comment on timing, locations and other filming matters once plans are confirmed.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot revealed on her second appearance on Israel's "Good Evening with Gai Pines" TV show the other night that she'll receive $300,000 to appear in the upcoming Superman/Batman movie, which will be the first of three movies she's contracted to play Wonder Woman in.

Gadot also confirmed that she's scheduled to begin filming in May.

Contrary to some reports you'll see on the Internet today, Stephen Amell, who plays Green Arrow in the TV series "Arrow", denied via his Facebook page that he'd had any "studio level" talks with Warner Bros. about his small screen character making a transition to a big screen "Justice League" movie.

The as-yet untitled Superman/Batman movie will be released in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
