February 12, 2014: "Help Your Heroes" Giving Sick Kids Hope

Help Your Hero You've seen the many news stories where a child with a medical condition plays in their home or hospital room clothed in a superhero cape pretending to be Superman or Supergirl. Their parents took a towel or some cloth and helped them make a cape so that they could feel empowered and find a way to have some fun, to embrace their childhood despite their medical condition.

"Help Your Heroes" have seen it too. That's why they've created HelpYourHero.org, a make-believe Hero-Verse, a fictional comic-book-style place where children with medical conditions create Superhero personas. They choose their Superhero caricature, their own Superhero name and they even give a name to their medical condition as their nemesis. They then invite their loved ones to participate in creating fun stories about their Superhero's adventures. HelpYourHero.org is the only site devoted to encouraging children with medical conditions to create and share their own inspiring stories.

This new and free website service is designed for children with medical needs and offers an engaging and uplifting web environment that helps to recognize and foster the growth of their superhero qualities.
