February 27, 2014: 3D Motion Comic Book Covers Return in September

3D Superman Cover DC Comics announced today that due to the overwhelming success of 2013's "Villains Month" 3D motion covers, they'll be bringing the technology back this September.

Spinning out of the events of the new weekly series THE NEW 52: FUTURES END, comic books will leap 5 years into the future! This fall expect the books to have even more depth and motion than before!

Newsarama received an exclusive first look at what the "Superman" 3D Motion cover will look like, with further details on the event from DC Entertainment co-publisher Dan DiDio.

"It gives some exciting teases of potential storylines that might be coming for our characters in the near future," DiDio told Newsarama of the month-long "Futures End" event. "These stories aren't going to just be tied into the weekly. But what you'll be seeing is a lot of the writers who are working on series right now projecting forward - their ideas, their storylines, where they think their character might be five years from now."
