January 12, 2014: Greg Pak Talks About the Batman/Superman Dynamic

Batman/Superman In a new weekly series of exclusive interviews on the Superman/Batman character dynamic, VoicesFromKrypton.net spoke with "Batman/Superman" comic book writer Greg Pak to get his insight in to the workings of the World's Finest pairing and his thoughts on the upcoming first live-action adventure to include the two characters. Here's an excerpt from the interview...

VOICES FROM KRYPTON: What's your feeling that we're going to be seeing a live action version of Superman and Batman for the first time?

GREG PAK: I think it's awesome. I've been working in comics for nine years now and over the years I've seen a number of the different characters I've worked on end up on the big screen in different capacities. Not that the books I've written have actually been adapted - although it did happen with Planet Hulk - I don't know why or where it comes from, I just enjoy it. I have zero outrage/entitlement when it comes to these movies. Whatever they do, I enjoy it. Maybe it's because I spend all of my time writing these comics, so it's just fun for me. But I am excited, because I think it's going to be really fun to see where they go with Superman in the next movie. When Cavill flashes that kind of toothy smile at the very end of Man of Steel when he's in his Clark Kent reporter outfit. There's just a huge amount of charm there and I think they laid the groundwork for something really fun. And I think Ben Affleck as Batman is a brilliant choice. He's clearly a smart guy, not just in the roles that he's played but look at him as a director. Look at the way his career has evolved. This guy is working on multiple levels and I think he'll bring something really interesting to Batman.
