January 12, 2013: Pulling Apart Rocafort's "Superman #15" Cover
The cover for "Superman #15" was put together with two separate Kenneth Rocafort drawings combined digitally to create the final image.Deev Elliot of Stellar Labs, (who represent "Superman" colorist Sunny Gho), posted the separate images used in the creation of the final cover image. While there's no actualy explanation, it appears as though Rocafort drew two finalized images, one of Lex Luthor in chains, the other of Superman confronting him. The Superman image was then flipped to create a mirror image and made semi-transparent to give the impression of Superman being reflected in the glass of Luthor's prison cell.
