February 2, 2012: The Adventures Continue for Fans of "The Adventures of Superman"

Adventures of Superman Fans of the 1950's TV show "Adventures of Superman" will be interested to know that The Adventures Continue (TAC), a website devoted to that classic series and its star, George Reeves, has added new and revised content.

TAC editor/researcher Lou Koza shares his collection of rare photos of Reeves escorting three-time Olympic champion figure skater Sonja Henie to the Hollywood film premier of The Egyptian, in 1954. Also new is the three-episode saga "Superman and the Mob Men" by Bruce Kanin (which includes an informative preface), and Kirk Hastings' "The Girl of Steel," which is illustrated to show what 1960's Bewitched actress Elizabeth Montgomery would have looked like as a 1950's TV Supergirl.

Updated articles detail Reeves' appearance at a 1957 sportsmen's show in Connecticut, a remarkable photo gallery of 1950's kids wearing Superman "play suits," reviews of five George Reeves films by the late Janeen Christensen, and a bio of Reeves paramour Toni Mannix (portrayed in the 2006 film Hollywoodland by Diane Lane, who will be seen as Martha Kent in next year's Man of Steel).

There's hours of fascinating reading, rare images, and super-nostalgia waiting for you at TAC, which can be found at www.jimnolt.com.

While you're there, also check out the features and extra goodies in each of the "TAC Year in Review" items listed on the site.

(TAC was founded and is owned by Superman historian Jim Nolt, and is the continuation of his 1990's TAC fanzine, originated by Dr. Don Rhoden.)
