Superman Musical

May 19, 2010: Tickets on Sale for Superman Musical Revival

Tickets are now on sale for the revival of "It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman" scheduled for June 16-July 25, in Dallas.

The Dallas Theatre Center in Dallas, Texas (in conjunction with Kimberly-Clark) will bring to life the musical "It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman!", with brand new songs by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams, and a completely revised book by playwright, screenwriter and comic book writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

There will be nothing mild-mannered about this high-voltage revival, when Superman flies in to help Clark Kent and Lois Lane face off against a team of super villains.

With singing, dancing, colorful sets and costumes, and a tuneful Broadway score, Superman will be an uplifting end to DTC's 51st season. The Man of Steel promises to sweep Lois Lane - and our audiences - off their feet!

Matt Cavenaugh has been cast in the role of Superman, while the villain of the story, Max Mencken is played by Patrick Cassidy, son of song-and-dance legend Jack Cassidy, who originated the role on Broadway in 1966 opposite Bob Holiday.
