August 22, 2009: Superman Car Commercials
Earlier this year we reported on a couple of Toyota Japan TV commercials using Superman to promote their new Prius. However this isn't the first time Superman has been used to help companies advertise their latest vehicles.In 1984 Renault used the Man of Steel to promote the Supercinq.
In 1999 the Jeep Grand Cherokee drove Superman to his Fortress of Solitude.
In 2005, Malaysian car manufacturer Perodua produced a TV commercial using a Superman rip-off to promote their Kenari vehicle.
And while not exactly a car commercial, this Thrifty Car Sales commercial does have a Superman theme to it.
