July 22, 2009: Major Zod Info & Other News for "Smallville"
TV Guide Magazine has an article that gives a few details on the villains for the 9th season of "Smallville". The article talks about John Corben aka Metallo, and has this to say about Zod...
- This season's main villain is Zod, the Kryptonian nemesis of Clark's biological father, who has made previous appearance on the series. "We had a little peek at who Zod was a couple of seasons ago, which fans will remember. But this a different incarnation of Zod," Peterson says of the new series regular, played by British actor Callum Blue (The Tudors). "We're introducing him as Major Zod - this is before he became General Zod." Adds Souders: "Over the course of the season, the venomous side of Zod rises because he experiences a few key betrayals with our beloved characters."
Meanwhile, E! Online's "Spoiler Chat" gave out some details about Clark and Chloe's relationship in the up-coming season...

We're actually hearing of a "strained relationship" between Chloe and Clark next season on Smallville. Those two will always work together, and they will always be your "Chloe and Clark," but expect some tension in season nine. Sorry guys.
