October 29, 2009: Update on Superman Slot Machine

Back in February we reported on a deal done between CryptoLogic and the WB/DC for a series of DC Universe online casino slot machines. Today, Casino Online has a report on the up-coming Superman online slot machine and what it's expected to feature...

Little is currently known about the proposed Superman slot, but it's believed the game developers will emulate some of the key aspects of their earlier DC releases. Unlike the Marvel themed slots that Intercasino currently offers, none of the DC slots have so far featured progressive jackpots and it's unlikely that a Superman game will buck this trend. We've also heard from an inside source that the Superman slot is set to be a 30 line+ extravaganza, featuring a bonus round, free spins and a bonus bet, similar to the Batman and Wonder Woman games.

Yesterday CryptoLogic announced the release of Batman and Wonder Woman slot games after signing an exclusive multi-year licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and DC Comics to bring these and other legendary characters to the Internet gaming environment to adults in countries where online gaming is permitted. CryptoLogic will earn recurring revenue based on a share of wagers placed by players on the games. Other games, including the one based on Superman, will follow in December of this year and then continue to be rolled out in 2010.
