August 9, 2009: Photos from Chicago Comic-Con
There were several Superman and superhero celebrities doing signings at this year's Chicago Comic-Con. In addition to Margot Kidder and Peter Brady (see separate news items), there was actress Lori Petty, the voice of Livewire on "Superman: The Animated Series" (and who would not do Livewire's voice on video for me - no matter how much I begged - out of deference to Warner Brothers' legal department); wrestler Roddy Piper, who appeared in the final single-part episode of "The Adventures of Superboy" syndicated live-action show; Christopher Heyerdahl, who played Kara's father Zor-El on several episodes of "Smallville" (though I only saw his sign, not him); and Lou Ferrigno, the title character on the 1970s series "The Incredible Hulk". The Wizard World Chicago Comic-Con 2009 had tons of artists showcasing their wares and doing drawings for the fans in Artist Alley. Here are some photographs of some of the more interesting Superman items:
