Bizarro: Ride of Steel

March 31, 2009: Bizarro to Take Over Ride of Steel?

If you haven't been keeping up with Jimmy Olsen's investigation of the nefarious plot by Lex Luthor to overhall the Six Flags "Superman: Ride of Steel" rollercoaster, you'll be interested to discover that not only has his www.JimmysTruth2Power.com blog been continually updated, including a link to a new LoisLaneReports.com blog, but fans have spotted a Bizarro link to the rollercoaster's upgrade.

The Superman roller coaster, which opened in 2000, had been painted red and blue, the colors familiar to Superman fans. Previously there was no audio on the ride.

The new cars, which match the freshly painted purple tracks, will have sound blaring from speakers positioned behind the riders' ears. Sound effects will change four or five times as the coaster travels over sensors on the tracks.

Ride of Steel The ride will include flame cannons, tunnels and fog banks, and the sound will coincide with the different visual effects, said Stephen M. Keaney, vice president of development who is overseeing the relaunch of the coaster.

"The volume's going to be insane," Keaney said. "These sounds are going to enhance the whole experience."

The Bizarro connection has been discovered via coupons located at Dunkin Donuts outlets.
