February 5, 2009: Kreisberg Explains Departure From "World of New Krypton"

Comic Book Resources has an interview with writer Andrew Kreisberg, who was this week replaced by James Robinson and Greg Rucka as the principal writers of Superman: World of New Krypton. Kreisberg explains to CBR that he wasn't fired but had to quit over timing issues:

"It started becoming, in a great way, this unwieldy thing where anything I said in my book had to be reflected in someone else's book. And if I'm crafting a story and James [Robinson] or Sterling [Gates] decide they need a character to come from Krypton to Earth, well then I can't use him in anymore," continued Kreisberg. "The only way to make that work was for everybody to be getting together and for conference calls and a big story meeting in New York and between my pilot and being on "Fringe" full-time and writing Green Arrow/Black Canary, I just didn't have the time to do it all."
