January 15, 2009: Geoff Johns Looks Ahead Beyond "New Krypton"
Wizard Universe caught up with writer Geoff Johns to ask him about his up-coming comic book stories. In reference to Superman, Johns talks briefly about what's ahead for the Man of Steel after the "New Krypton" saga.
- Now, there are some shakeups coming for the Superman books as well with the ending of "New Krypton."
JOHNS: Yeah. [Artist] Gary Frank and I will be moving to a different Superman book in March. He and I will be doing [a book called] Superman: Secret Origin. There's some major changes coming in the Superman line. So Gary and I are moving [off of Action Comics] to do this special project that has actually been in the works for quite a while. I'm sure it will become quite clear after everyone sees the covers what we've got planned for that story.
Obviously you can't talk about the ending to "New Krypton," but how does that story play out into the Superman world afterwards?
JOHNS: There's a bunch of repercussions outside of the "New Krypton" storyline. I think all of which will be very clear when the story wraps up in January.
