July 29, 2008: Comic-Con - Smallville Videos and Interviews
MovieWeb.com conducted their own private interviews with "Smallville" cast and crew at the San Diego Comic-Con International this past weekend. You can watch their interviews with Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan), Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Cassidy Freeman (Tess Mercer), and Sam Witwer (Davis Bloome/Doomsday).Meanwhile, SciFi.com caught up with executive producers Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin who had this to say about the character of Tess Mercer...
- "She is a nod to both Ms. Teschmacher [Valerie Perrine, from Superman: The Movie] with Tess, and then her last name, Mercer, is a nod to Mercy from the comic books," Swimmer said in during an interview at Comic-Con International in San Diego over the weekend. "But she is neither Teschmacher nor Mercy. We are taking a little bit of both, but the storyline and who she is and where she came from and where she is going is completely created by the [producers]."
