December 19, 2007: Allison Mack and Kristin Kreuk Interviews

Kristin Kreuk Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan) and Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) have been fairly busy doing interviews for "Smallville" recently. While the focus of the interviews is obviously about "Smallville", the duo also speak about a new survey they've set up to help college students. Here's some snippets from a few interviews currently available online...

"We're starting a company with Nicki Clyne who's on Battlestar Galactica and our friend Sarah Edmondson [from Edgemont] and what we want to do is provide a bunch of services for college students as well as an environment where they can really explore themselves and what they want to see in the world and what they do and really communicate with each other," Kristin Kreuk explains about the new venture. "But first, we just want to get as much data as possible. That's what the survey's about."

Allison Mack talks to TV.com about how both Chloe and Lana have had a few death scenes during the seven seasons of "Smallville":

I've died I think about seven [times] and now with my new power I continue to die on a regular basis. So, it's kind of fun. At first I was really stoked to get to play a death scene because I thought that that would be really cool. And now I find it's just like, "Oh, I died again." And it's like an extra 25 minutes in makeup! We kind of know ahead of time what the death is about. So, like if they're going to blow us up, we know why they're blowing us up, and we may not know what's going to happen, or how they're going to clear up the story line, but we know that it's not actually our death. And if it is, we know that, too.

Over at TheTVAddict.com, both Kristin and Allison talk about whether they're looking forward to the series coming to an end or if they'd like it to go on longer:

Allison Mack

Kristin Kreuk: I'm kind of in 'in-between' land. I think over the years, on a SCI FI show, we get to play so many different characters. There are also so many different challenges: green screen, special effects, stunts, other characters taking over our character - so it never gets boring. But it is always challenging to keep things fresh and honest after seven years. That said, I think I'm personally ready to move on in some ways. But I'll miss the show and the people involved dearly.

Allison Mack: For seven years it has been an incredible experience. Not only because of all the fantasy elements. But all of the genres: comedy, drama, horror, thriller. Things are never boring. Personally, I've grown up on the show, but part of me is really looking forward to the future.

Allison Mack talks to KryptonSite.com about what it's like having Sam Jones III return as Pete Ross:

"Sam has been back for the last couple weeks, we've been shooting the episode that he's in, and he is just amazing," Allison gushes. "He's doing really cool things in his life, doing a lot of writing, developing a lot of businesses outside of Smallville, and he's just grown up a lot. There's this incredible sense of familiarity with him, because we worked so close for the first couple of seasons of the show. I feel like he's my brother, and yet we both have grown up so much, so it's cool just like getting to know somebody that you already know really well," Allison says.
