November 18, 2007: Writer's Strike Talks Begin

Variety is reporting that the studios and networks and the Writers Guild of America will resume negotiations on November 26.

This doesn't mean the strike is over or that it's going to end any time soon. However, it will be the first time since the strike began that both sides will sit down at the negotiating table together.

In recent weeks, the strike has been suggested as a possible impediment to completion of a full 22-episode seventh season of "Smallville"; as one of the reasons that the sequel to 2006's "Superman Returns" may not be moving forward any time soon; and as a principal reason that the "Justice League" movie is being fast-tracked into production given there's a script already written.

Stay tuned to the Superman Homepage the week of November 26 for possible strike updates.
