October 23, 2007: “The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians” Available on DVD Today
For generations, fans have enjoyed DC Super Hero cartoons and have reveled in the action packed plots and characters. Now, Warner Home Video (WHV) and DC Comics are bringing the classics back to life with today's release of "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians".As the final installment to Hanna-Barbera's Super Friends series, "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians" features the voice of Adam West as Batman, and brings an electrifying and memorable end to Hanna-Barbera's 12 year run of the Super Friends on the ABC network. Based on the Justice League, the series is most celebrated for its accurate television adaptation of the original DC comic book characters. Darkseid of Apokolips and his minions Kalibak and DeSaad are the primary rivals in this particular series, challenging the team of heroes, which includes the newly introduced Firestorm and Cyborg. The remarkable 2-Disk edition of "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians" features a total of eight action-packed 22-minute episodes.
