March 16, 2007: Filmation's 1966 "The New Adventures of Superman" Coming to DVD
Earl Kress, award-winning writer of animated shows such as "Pinky and the Brain" has revealed on his website that Warner Home Video are scheduled to release the 1966 Filmation cartoon "The New Adventures of Superman" to DVD in June.According to Kress, the DVD collection will be released on June 26, 2007.
These cartoons saw the return of Bud Collyer to the role of Superman/Clark Kent and Joan Alexander as Lois Lane, both having played those roles in the long-running 1940s Superman radio series and Fleischer Superman cartoons.
WHV has not yet officially announced this release, but as soon as they do we'll report on it.
