November 11, 2007: Will WGA Strike Stall Justice League Movie?

Variety has published an article that looks at how the major movie studios are being affected by the Writer's Guild of America (WGA) strike. Of specific note to Superman fans is whether or not the "Justice League" movie will be affected...

Major tentpoles are the most vulnerable should the strike drag on. Warner Bros. execs are nervous about how to proceed with "Justice League of America," which is still uncast and is a crucial potential franchise boasting popular DC Comics characters. While WB expects to move ahead on most of its projects, if the strike extends past February, the studio will have some reevaluating to do.

While the script for this movie has been written, no script is ever locked in 100%. Even during shooting small re-writes are always taking place... and without writers there to do it...

We'll keep you posted as more news comes to hand. In the mean time you can read the complete Variety article at their website.
