April 4, 2006: Olivetti Replacing Byrne on “Superman Returns” Prequel Comic
A few weeks ago we learnt that John Byrne had decided to pull out from drawing the first of four "Superman Returns" prequel books. Byrne posted a message on his official website stating that he was no longer involved with the project due to personal reasons.ComicsContinuum reports today that Ariel Olivetti has taken over that position, and will be illustrating the 40-page book, written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, titled "Superman Returns: Krypton to Earth".
The book will ship on June 7, and be followed by "Superman Returns: Max Kent" on June 14, "Superman Returns: Lex Luthor" on June 21 and "Superman Returns: Lois Lane" on June 28.
