Superman Escape

June 11, 2005: New Superman Rollercoaster Under Construction in Australia

The Warner Bros. Movie World theme park on the Gold Coast in Australia is the location for the world's newest Superman rollercoaster.

The rollercoaster is tentatively titled "Superman Escape", and looks set to cost around 12 million dollars to construct.

The ride will measure 40m in height, and will dominate the skyline in the park, as an impressive sight immediately in front of guests entering the park. Each train will have 5 cars with 4 passengers per car, giving a total of 20 riders per train, and will feature a hydraulic 0-100km/hr launch in two seconds.

The ride is expected to open in the final quarter of 2005.
