January 6, 2005: Superman Roars into Monster Jam Monster Truck Series

Superman Truck Makes its Competition Debut on January 8th at Atlanta's Georgia Dome

Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced today that they are teaming up with Clear Channel Entertainment and 4Kids Entertainment to feature custom-designed monster trucks in the upcoming Monster Jam® series. DC Comics' Super Heroes "Superman" and "Batman," as well as Warner Bros. Entertainment's "Tasmanian Devil" ("Taz") character, will join the Monster Jam® team beginning with the 2005 racing season.

These three new, brand-themed monster trucks will enter the Monster Jam® racing and freestyle line-up, where they will have the chance to smash the competition and earn a trip to the World Finals in March. The trucks are designed to bring some of the world's best-loved characters to Monster Jam® fans everywhere.

The "Superman" truck will make its competition debut at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on January 8, 2005. Atlanta native, Chad Fortune is scheduled to drive the truck. The "Batman" and "Taz" trucks will make their official debut at future events later in the year.

As part of its ongoing partnership with Monster Jam®, Mattel, Inc. will introduce character-specific Monster Jam® toys at retail including toy trucks, radio control vehicles, puzzles and board games. Additional merchandise will be available onsite at live Monster Jam® arena events, as well as for purchase through the Internet.
