March 25, 2004: Godfall Continues to Sell Out at DC Comics
ACTION COMICS #813, ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #626 AND SUPERMAN #203 SELL OUT AT DC COMICSACTION COMICS #813, ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #626 and SUPERMAN #203 are sold out at DC Comics. These issues feature chapters four, five and six of the "Godfall" story arc, along with special back-up features.
ACTION COMICS #813 sold out on March 18 after arriving in stores on March 10. ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #626 sold out on March 24 after arriving in stores on March 17. SUPERMAN #203 sold out on March 18, two weeks before its in-store date of March 31.
"The excitement over the work Mike Turner, Joe Kelly and Talent Caldwell are doing just keeps growing," says Group Editor Eddie Berganza. "Add back-up stories by Chuck Austen, Ivan Reis and Marc Campos in ACTION and Greg Rucka, Matthew Clark and Nelson in ADVENTURE, plus Jim Lee's amazing sketchbook section in SUPERMAN, and you've got some very cool comics!"
"We've sold out on nearly everything we've printed on this entire story arc, even with generous overprints and second printings," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales & Marketing. "It's a good indicator of building momentum for the SUPERMAN titles, and retailers should look at their orders on the April issues of all three series now."
DC has no plans to go back to press on these issues at this time. Please note that copies still may be available at retail.
