February 11, 2004: Superman Comics Back to Press for Second Printing
DC Comics has sent ACTION COMICS #812 and ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #625 back to press for second printings. These issues feature the first two chapters of the highly anticipated "Godfall" storyline, cowritten by Michael Turner & Joe Kelly, with art by Talent Caldwell & Jason Gorder and covers by Turner & Gorder.ACTION COMICS #812, which arrives in stores today, sold out at the publisher two days ago. The second printing of ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #625 is being prepared now, as the issue is nearly sold out at DC.
ACTION COMICS #812 Second Printing and ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #625 both are available for order now and are scheduled to arrive in stores on March 3. These issues feature alternate versions of Turner's covers, presenting his original pencils without inking or coloring.
"I'm really happy the books are selling so well before they're even out," says Turner. "We've been working on these stories for six months, and it's great to see them coming out at last. It's been a lot of fun working with these characters, and we're having a blast."
"It happened so quickly I'm shocked," says Caldwell. "We're all pretty happy with these issues, but I can't wait for the whole story to come out - they just keep getting better and better."
"Having veteran ACTION COMICS and JLA writer Joe Kelly join forces with Michael and Talent from Aspen Studios has really excited consumer interest in this storyline," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales & Marketing. "We're happy to go back to press on these issues - and in anticipation of increased demand, we've upped the print runs on subsequent parts of the story."
These issues also include back-up features by the titles' upcoming creative teams: writer Chuck Austen and artists Ivan Reis & Marc Campos on ACTION COMICS and writer Greg Rucka and artists Matt Clark & Nelson on ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN.
ACTION COMICS #812 Second Printing is available for order now with an order increase cut-off date of Sunday, February 22. This issue is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 3 with a cover price of $2.25 U.S.

Upcoming issues of the "Godfall" story are available as follows:
- SUPERMAN #202 is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 25.
- ACTION COMICS #813 is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 10.
- ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #626 is solicited in the January issue of Previews (Volume XIV, #1) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 17.
- SUPERMAN #203 is solicited in the January issue of Previews (Volume XIV, #1) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 31.
