February 10, 2004: Comic Art Exhibition at Mizel Center for Arts and Culture

"No Joke: The Spirit of American Comic Books," exhibition is on display at the Mizel Center for Arts and Culture, 350 South Dalhia Street in Denver, CO in the U.S.A. The exhibition started on January 15th and continues through till March 28th. The project explores the historical, cultural and artistic contributions of comic books and is open from 9am-4pm Monday-Friday, and 1-4pm on Sundays. Entry is FREE.

From superheroes to Marvel Comics and MAD Magazine, from underground "comix" to the graphic novel... works by Carl Barks, C. C. Beck, Al Capp, Howard Chaykin, Howard Cruse, Mort Drucker, Will Eisner, Will Elder, Al Feldstein, Frank Frazetta, Kelly Freas, Justin Green, Bill Griffin, Jack Kirby, Harvey Kurtzman, Don Martin, Sheldon Moldoff, Victor Moscoso, Prohias, Trina Robbins, Gilbert Shelton, Joe Shuster, Art Spiegelman. A cartoon mural by Tom Motley depicts the history of comic books.
