November 9, 2003: “Smallville” Ratings Keep Rising!

SUPER DRAMA ALSO SCORES YEAR-TO-YEAR GAINS FOR ITS NEW TIME PERIOD IN EIGHT KEY DEMOS, HOUSEHOLD RATING AND TOTAL VIEWERS

The WB's SMALLVILLE continues to thrive in its new Wednesday time slot.

SMALLVILLE WON ITS TIME PERIOD in The WB's target demographic of persons 12-34 (3.6/12) as well as teens (3.8/14) and female teens (4.2/16). SMALLVILLE also ranked #2 in adults 18-34 (3.5/11), men 18-34 (3.0/10), women 12-34 (4.0/12) and men 12-34 (3.1/11). The episode was also #3 in women 18-34 (4.0/11) and #3 in men 18-49 (2.4/7).

SMALLVILLE improved its time period compared to the previous week last season in eight key demos, including +13% in persons 12-34. SMALLVILLE also improved its time period over last year in household rating and total viewers (6.7 million, +53%).

For the night, The WB improved over the first Wednesday of the November sweep last season in seven key demos, plus household rating and total viewers (5.4 million, +20%). The WB also scored improvement over the parallel Wednesday last year in all teen demos, including +72% in total teens (3.1/11). The WB was also up year-to-year in persons 12-34.

Meanwhile in other "Smallville" news, the Belgian channel Kanaal 2 has started broadcasting the second season of "Smallville" on Wednesday nights at 7.30pm central european time. Check your local guides for any variations.
