June 23, 2003: Smallville - Talon Location Photographs

Superman Homepage reporter/writer Sean Hogan, a Canadian resident, recently sent us this report and the following photographs in relation to the real location of The Talon from the hit WB TV show "Smallville"...

"I had my camera with me today when I was driving past the locations where they shoot the downtown Smallville exteriors and thought you might like a couple of pictures.

Cloverdale is a community in the city of Surrey, which is on the west coast of Canada, about 30km from Vancouver (and about 3 hour drive north of Seattle). The area is suburban, but with a western feel - they have a yearly rodeo and there are lots of agricultural lands and farms in the area.

As you will see, the Clova movie theatre doubles as the exterior for the Talon. When the series decided to use this street, they did an extensive renovation to the exterior. The old theatre exterior was very plain. When the series is shooting, they replace the Clova's name with the Talon. The interior is a movie theatre, not a coffee shop.
