Six Flags Announces Grand Opening of Europe's Largest Movie Theme Park, Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid

The glamour and excitement of Hollywood and Warner Bros. came to Madrid on April 5, 2002 when Warner Bros. Movie World opened its park gates. The dramatically themed 625-acre Park hosted a special grand opening party for 10,000 invited guests and will open to the general public today. The park, located in San Martin de la Vega, 25 km from Madrid, is the largest of its kind in Europe and is managed by Six Flags, the worlds largest theme park company.

Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid has five premiere entertainment themed areas that celebrate the allure of Hollywood and full range of the Warner Bros. properties, of interest to Superman fans is the DC Super Heroes World:

  • Comic book lovers will be able to walk through Metropolis and Gotham City, the home of DC Comics Super Heroes, Superman and Batman at DC Super Heroes World.

    Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid has thrills for everyone, including the most daring, like five world-class roller coasters and the Riddler's Revenge, Europe's tallest free-fall tower at 328 feet high, plus a variety of rides and shows for kids of all ages. In addition, each area has a number of themed restaurants and retail stores with exclusive Warner Bros. branded merchandise. All of this makes a visit to the Park an unforgettable experience.
