Operation Superman

September 18, 2001: Operation Superman

Carl Nordstrom has initiated Operation Superman. Its mission: As an honor to the heroism of the rescue workers in New York City, Carl is collecting Superman figures to be sent to the surviving police and firefighters and the families of the deceased rescuers. His goal is to send these out by mid-October.

Superman is a symbol of courage, self-sacrifice, and the fighting spirit of truth, justice, and the American way. The rescue workers have displayed nothing short of super-heroism.

The 6 1/2 inch Superman figures would be ideal - but any Superman figure you would like to donate will be greatly appreciated.

For more information, including where to send the Superman figures, please visit the Operation Superman page.
