August 26, 2000: A Gladiator as Superman?
A rumour has surfaced through an inside source that Warner Bros. has approached Russell Crowe (Gladiator) for the lead role in the up-coming Superman movie, based on the previously trashed script by Kevin Smith. Since Tim Burton has long left the scene, sources tell me that Brad Silberling (City of Angels) is interested in directing. And one name I keep hearing from my source for the role of Lex Luthor is none other than Kevin Spacey.
