Brandon Routh has shared yet another photo of himself from the upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” TV crossover event… but this time as Clark Kent.
Sporting a brown business suit, similar to the one he wore in “Superman Returns”, Brandon captioned his Instragram photo with: Look who I found during a recent visit to the #DailyPlanet.
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will begin with Part 1 – “Supergirl” on Sunday, December 8 at 8.00pm ET/PT, Part 2 – “Batwoman” on Monday, December 9 at 8.00pm ET/PT, Part 3 – “The Flash” on Tuesday, December 10 at 8.00pm ET/PT, Part 4 – “Arrow” on Tuesday, January 14 at 8.00pm ET/PT and Part 5 – “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” on Tuesday, January 14 at 9.00pm ET/PT
HE’S CLARK KENT!!!!!!!!
YES!!!!!!!!
Cool, given his grey hairs I take it he’s an older Clark Kent with a better job at the Daily Planet.
Interesting. Seems like they’re combining Kingdom Come Superman with classic Earth 2 Superman where as Clark he’s now editor of the Daily Star.
Well I guess this will work, since the actual Kingdom Come Superman would be too sad. But from everything I’ve read, the conversation seems to be centered around all the Supermen that are going to appear in this. This is going to involve most of the characters in The arrowverse. I wish we could hear more about them. But as it is Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh are going to make good Superman.
If memory serves me correctly, pre-Crisis Earth-2 Clark Kent ultimately became Editor in Chief of the Daily Star…
He still looks the part. Just sayin…
It’s a shame we have 3 people still willing to play the character… in fact they seem excited about the character and yet WB makes no moves. But at least we’re getting more Harley Quinn movies I guess?? (Eye roll)
It is sad sundevil82, but at the very least, we as Superman fans, can show our support for Superman in this upcoming crossover. Even if it doesn’t do anything for WB’s end of things, at least it will show them that there is a strong support and fandom for Superman.
And I’m so glad that Brandon still looks like both Superman and Clark as well sundevil82.
This how I see how the Batwoman series started instead of a new Superman series…..
CW: You are a fan of Supergirl’s show right?
Me: yes.
CW: And you are a fan of Superman yes?
Me: yes!
CW: Well we have some great news for you.
Me: A Superman TV series!?!?
CW:No. a Batwoman tv series.
Me:…… huh? Say what now?
This just goes with what you were saying about WB sundevil82, but on CW’s end of things.
Spot on! For SR being 13 years old, BR still look realtivly unchanged and could step back into the role with no problem.
Regarding the movies we’re not getting. All the blathering about how Zack’s versions were too dark and dour, so now we’ve getting Joker and Suicide Squad??
Eyes rolling……you bet. Right out the sockets!!!! Reminds me of a cartoon where the character’s eyes pop a foot out it’s head.
Oh.
Well.
I guess he’s not Kingdom Come Superman after all. I kinda hate this tbh. It’s like they wanted Earth-2 Superman, but also a suit that looked different to the traditional. Oh well, he looks good at least.
It’s becoming more like the “Superman Returns” sequel we all waited to see. 😎
You know, even though he is wearing the Kingdom COme uniform, I thought it might actually be that.
That smirk is priceless.
Could it be that he’s playing a continuation of the Superman Returns Superman but his story for the crossover will also be a mix of the Kindom come story and the crisis on infinite earths story?
Maybe. Perhaps in terms of the COIE story Routh’s Superman is functionally classic Earth 2 but in terms of his look and personality could be more like Kingdom Come but a Kingdom Come Superman born out of the continuity of Superman Returns.
Like most of you have already said: the kingdom come and the classic pre crisis Earth 2 Superman rolled up in one version. I kinda dig it. I’m pretty excited how that will turn out to be!
Probably the next news will be getting the Nic Cage Superman on the show. Imagine how that will uproar the TV ratings…and the outcry and excitement of fans.
Eh, I’d just as soon that one of the Earths that gets wiped out off camera.
As short lived as the preproduction of the film
And becomes the subject of a documentary 20 years after the production was cancelled.
Kind of begs the question: Do we get to call him “Chief”? 😀
