Canadagraphs managed to snap a series of photos during filming for the second episode of Season 5 of “Supergirl,” which took place outside the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre this week.
According to the report, “Melissa showed up after the lunch break to shoot a scene where she stops a semi-truck from crashing into a car with a family in it. In earlier scenes with no main cast, they filmed a scene where the car had to swerve to avoid a woman walking and not looking where she was going.”

Ok, from the looks of these photos, it might not be as bad as I thought. I don’t see any sign of there being a sash. So it was probably just the angle that the previous photo was taken. Still not to thrilled about the belt color. It would look better if it were red instead of yellow, or if it were red with a yellow buckle. I still don’t know what to think of the cape attachments. I am not a fan. I actually left this show and was looking to give it another try this season. I don’t think I’ll be doing that. I can’t even watch the animated supergirl with her bangs. I don’t see what was wrong with the skirt too. She had red tights under them. Just make them a more solid red and keep the skirt. Oh well. I’m sure others will love it.
it looks to me like a costume mix of Wonder Woman and Marvels Captain Marvel…with a touch of Tylers Superman suit thrown in… hope they do what they did in the current comic books of Supergirl and have her wear different outfits at different times. Then you could have this look and the classic look through out the season.
It would have helped if the red was more vibrant. The red chosen is too muted for my tastes> a brighter red would offset the blue better.
I really wish it was more traditional, like this one of her with a classic S-shield.

Yes. I totally agree with you. The traditional look would have been perfect for her.
The way the cape attaches on this and Superman’s suit is too awkward. It would help if they changed it to a fabric cape. The leather straps look strange. Almost like plastic
She’s looking more like Super-woman or Super-Soccer-Mom now. Something kinda Nu 52 ish about this. Not as catchy, but it can work…
