According to TheIlluminerdi.com, The CW has issued new casting breakdowns for supporting characters for the upcoming “Superman and Lois” TV series.

If you are aiming to remain spoiler-free for this series, you may not want to read the descriptions below…

Interestingly, it appears as though two previously cast roles, seen in the “Supergirl” TV series, may be recast for this new series, namely General Sam Lane and Morgan Edge.

Lois Lane’s father, General Sam Lane is described as “a serious Army General whose main mission is to protect the United States of America as well as the world from any threats, whether it comes from on or off Earth. Anyone who works for or together with him is expected to performing 110% no matter what.”

While Glenn Morshower did play the role of Sam Lane on “Supergirl”, he hasn’t been seen on the series since the Season 1 finale titled “Better Angels”.

While the casting breakdown names him “Sabastien Saint,” it’s not hard to see that the “smart, forceful and intense billionaire who has for some reason continued to succeed” is likely the character of Morgan Edge as described in the leaked script for the Pilot episode. The character’s “natural gift to drive can benefit others while it can become someone’s hell.”

It’s also pretty clear that the name and description for the role of “Sally Bunyan” is for that of Lana Lang, with her husband and two girls also included as series regulars.

The production is looking to cast a diverse 35-39 year old actress for the role of “Sally,” who is described as a loan officer at a bank who is married to “Kyle Bunyan” and has two daughters, 16-year-old “Sarah” and 8-year-old “Sophie.” The casting description notes that they are looking for these series regular roles to be portrayed by “diverse” actors.

“Sally’s” life takes a turn when she reconnects with her high school boyfriend, which in turn is another straining factor in her marriage to “Kyle.” The casting department is looking for a diverse actor between 35 and 39 to play “Kyle”, a fire station chief who has basically become a hero in his own right to the town. Described as being “an alcoholic who has seen a lot of darkness in humanity,” “Kyle” has “some problematic attitude issues that affect those around him”.

Daughter “Sarah” is a gifted, popular teenage girl who is keeping some dark secrets that she only begins to reveal when she begins a relationship with a certain boy. While her sister “Sophie” is described as a young girl who tends to embarrass her family.

The villain of the story is listed in the casting breakdowns as “Ryan Simmons”. This series regular is teased as being “a man who has lost everything that he holds dear in life”, “Ryan’s” sole purpose now is “to go after everyone who is responsible for destroying his life battling with appeasing his inner rage that is getting worse”.

Beyond the roles of Superman/Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch), we also know that Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin have been cast in the roles of Clark Kent and Lois Lane’s twin sons, Jonathan and Jordan Kent.

Produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, “Superman & Lois” is being written and executive produced by Todd Helbing, former showrunner of “The Flash”. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns will also executive produce the series.

I hope that everyone will be safe from this virus. If it means that we will have to wait a bit longer for the new Superman and Lois show, I’m ok with that. It’s more important to me that everyone is safe from this virus. As for this recent news, sounds interesting. I look forward to seeing what they have planned for this show. Stay safe everyone.

They can put this turkey series on hold forever as far as I’m concerned. The majority of it will be centered around Lois and the two boys. The Adventures of Domesticated Superman!!! Going to be painful.

Redcape, I agree with you about “The Adventures of Domesticated Superman.” This is my worry for the show as well. But perhaps it’ll turn out differently, which is what I’m hoping for. I’m trying to be optimistic about this. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Hopefully the summer heat will take care of this virus so that the CW Superman and Supergirl show can continue as planned. I hear that this virus doesn’t like heat.
