In a world where primitive humans and anthropomorphic dinosaurs co-exist, reptilian versions of our favorite superheroes fight the forces of evil. In Trimyscira, Wonderdon sees visions of such things in her dreams. Aquasaur battles Black Mantasaurus on the sea shores. Batwalker hunts serial killer Jokerzard in the outskirts of Growlthom City, and Supersaur confronts Giganta and Brontozarro in Metraaaghpolis.
Story – 5: This is goofy and surreal, but that’s what I was expecting. As much as I love multi-chaptered, company wide events like “Crisis on Infinite Earths” and epic runs like Grant Morrison’s “Doom Patrol,” this was a breath of fresh air, and exactly the comic I needed to read. It’s pure fun. I absolutely loved it!
Art – 5: The art is absolutely perfect for this series and compliments the story in ways I haven’t seen in modern comics for quite some time. Any other style would ruin the book in my opinion.
Cover Art – 5: If ever there was a cover that makes a person curious about a comic, this one is it. Seeing this made me extremely impatient to read the book.
Gedeon Variant Cover Art – 5: This variant gives buyers a preview of the comic’s contents in a sense. It says, “Here’s what you’ll get, folks. Enjoy!” I took that advice to the infinite level.
Simonson Variant Cover Art – 5: It’s $%&#ing Walt Simonson, folks. Check out his work if you haven’t already. This awesome variant barely scratches the surface of the man and his wife’s immense talent.
