Powered up from last issue by Lex Luthor’s growth serum, Superman’s fight with Godzilla is coming to an end as the real challengers for Godzilla’s Alpha Primacy arrive. Godzilla turns his attack from Primal Superman to King Ghidorah and Rodan. Joining the fight is Hal Jordan in a construct Mechsuit as Ultima-Lantern. While Wonder Woman and Supergirl team up to ground Rodan.

Kong arrives to join the fight, teaming up with Primal Superman and Green Lantern to preoccupy King Ghidorah so that Godzilla can finish him off. Only before he can, Superman returns to his normal size. The result is that King Ghidorah breaks free from Kong and Green Lantern. King Ghidorah is then able to escape, as he knocks out Kong, as well as the fight out of Godzilla.

Meanwhile, outside of the main fight, the Suicide Squad is becoming fractured. Batman is working with Harley Quinn, Flash is watching the jailed Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Giganta, Enchantress, and Peacemaker, who are also looking to help the Justice League. The remaining members, Lex Luthor, Black Manta, and Cheetah, now led by Lee Shaw, are planning Phase Three.

4Story – 4: Another all-out fight issue. In this one, it is King Ghidorah and Rodan versus everyone. The fight alone makes this issue worth it.

The big question is, will we find out Shaw’s and Luthor’s plan? Will they have any allies left? Those lucky enough to be captured or escape from the Suicide Squad are looking to aid the Justice League in defeating Lee Shaw.

4Art – 4: Keeping on schedule this time for this second book, Christian Duce treats us to a double-page spread showcasing the arrival of King Ghidorah and Rodan. Their arrival turns the threat from Godzilla to the newly arrived Titans. With Godzilla distracted by the bigger threat, the Primal Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Supergirl join the fight alongside the lesser of the threats, Godzilla.

3Cover Art – 3: Christian Duce keeps outdoing himself; this cover is the best yet. It features one of the coolest-looking King Ghidorah facing off against Godzilla. And while at first glance it looks like there are no members of the Justice League, a sharp eye can see the shadow of Superman racing to join the battle of the Alphas.

There are variant covers by Carlo Pagulayan, Alan Quah, and Lucas Meyer.

This next Quah variant in the series of connecting covers features Cyborg, John Steward, Cheetah, and Captain Boomerang. The featured Titan is Behemoth, the Woolly Mammoth-esque Titan.

The Lucas Meyer variant is a really nice cover featuring this story’s Suicide Squad facing off against King Gidorah. This Legion of Doom Squad includes Lex Luthor, Titana, Enchantress, Black Manta, Captain Boomerang, and Cheetah.

The next Incentive Cover by Kevin Maguire (1:25) features Green Lantern being chased by the Pterodactyl-esque Titan.
