Picking up with Kong and Flash, Green Lantern distracts Kong from an open portal. Mr. Terrific is on the main Earth with Hal Jordan and Lois Lane aboard the Justice League Satellite. The portal was initially activated by Flash using Batman’s mech suit. Green Lantern flies through the open portal to help Flash with Kong, but before anything can happen, Kong is distracted by Superman, who is knocked into a nearby mountain.

Superman is battling Godzilla, and judging by the size of the hole in the mountain, he is losing. Mr. Terrific and Batman are able to connect the Justice League so they can strategize their next moves, including helping Superman with Godzilla. Their plan is to use Lex’s Growth Serum to help even the scales. The Titan serum guinea pig is Superman, who volunteers.

While Superman does become larger, he also becomes primal, fighting more on instinct than intellect. Godzilla and Superman knock themselves out, but that is the least of the team’s worries.

4Story – 4: The story breaks into an all-out fight issue, definitely escalating from the last issue. The focus of the fighting is against Godzilla. Initially, it is Superman alone against Godzilla, then Supergirl joins, and finally Green Lantern joins just in time to save Kal and Kara before they could be hit by Godzilla’s Atomic Breath. After an amp up from Lex’s Growth Serum, a feral Superman takes the fight to a new level. Leaving Supergirl, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman as nothing more than spectators.

4Art – 4: As a fight issue, the story is moving fast, so there is not a lot of time for the art to breathe. That said, there are some good storytelling pages. One such page includes Superman and Supergirl teaming against Godzilla. Their plan was a coordinated one-two punch to try to knock out Godzilla. Only the King of the Titans reacted too fast, and they themselves got knocked out. The page ends with Godzilla charging up for counterattack.

The coolest page is actually a double-page spread focusing on a Titan-powered Superman transformed and ready to attack. Insert panels surrounding the main image are designed to slowly reveal the size and scope of Superman’s transformation. Making the spread not only cool but also a well-executed storytelling two-pager.

3Cover Art – 3: This is the best of the main covers so far. Over two-thirds is a serpent-esque Titan crashing from the water to attack the Justice League. The League makes up another third as they rise to the challenge at the cliffs of a coast. The team is comprised of Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg, Mr. Terrific, The Atom, and Hawkgirl.

There are variant covers by Stephen Segovia and Alan Quah.

The Segovia variant is a great cartoony style cover. The cover features two Titans and three Suicide Squad members. The Titans are a Woolly Mammoth-Esque and a Pterodactyl-Esque creature. The Suicide Squad members include Harley Quinn, Cheetah, and Peacemaker.

The Quah variant is also good and even more cartoony than the Segovia. The Quah variants have been a series of connecting covers. This cover features Flash and King Shark with Hawkgirl. The featured Titan is King Ghidorah.

There is supposed to be another Incentive Cover: Kevin Maguire (1:25), but it is either delayed or canceled.
