The story begins with Harley Quinn on the Monsterverse Earth. She is at the practice of Dr. Quinzel of the Monsterverse Earth and is searching for the Joker of that Earth. Her hope is that this world’s Joker is good. Before she can get the answers that she is looking for she is called away by the Suicide Squad.

Back in Hollow Earth Lex Luthor and Superman tentatively agree to a temporary truce. Which last as long as it takes for Lex escape leaving Superman to take care of the Hollow Earth gorillas. Lex Luthor then rendezvous with Colonel Leland Lafayette Shaw III who is also in Hollow Earth looking for a power source to stabilize his Titanizing Process.

At the Skull Island Monarch Outpost Batman is with a healing Flash. They are reviewing the data on King Shark and learning about Lex’s Titanizing Process. Knowing that they need to contact their Earth for more reinforcements, against his better judgment Batman sends a possibly concussed Flash to retrieve the parts they need to activate the portal.

Flash is able to make it back to Batman’s Batmech where he can hear Mr. Terrific back on the main DC Earth trying to contact Batman. Unfortunately, before he can respond he is attacked by Cheetah. Even more unfortunate, Kong has found them both.

Picking up from last issue Wonder Woman allowed herself to be captured so the Suicide Squad would take her back to their base. There they are met by Supergirl and together they take out Peacemaker, Giganta, Captain Cold, and Captain Boomerang. However, Black Manta escapes.

Wonder Woman and Supergirl than board the Suicide Squad base, Monarch’s destroyer the USS Saratoga. There they contact Batman and share information that a beacon has been sent out to summon Titans from across the globe. Batman knows that this can only mean that Superman failed to stop Luthor, and that Luthor found the source need to power his Titanizing Process.

3Story – 3: This issue has lots of Gorillas and fighting, what more could we ask for. Regrettably in exchange for Gorilla action we get limited story development. That said, this is still a good issue as we are now over a third into the story.

4Art – 4: I believe that Christian Duce’s favorite character is The Flash. As Flash has some of the best pages in the book. As mentioned in previous reviews Duce biggest strength is monsters, and that remains true as we get a great image of Godzilla as he greets Superman with his signature “Raaaaaggghhhhhh!” setting up their rematch for the next issue.

3Cover Art – 3: The main cover by Christian Duce depicts Lex Luthor and Colonel Leland Lafayette Shaw III as they look on approvingly at a 3D map. They are in a control room that has multiple monitors with different Titans in the background.

There are variant covers by Riccardo Federici, and Alan Quah.

The Federici variant is vividly colored in a hyper-realistic style. Godzilla looks on while Harley Quinn defensively protects King Shark. King Ghidorah is in the background.

The Quah variant spotlights Mothra, Supergirl, Green Lantern with a mech-like construct, and Peacemaker as they fight off attacking Titans.

There is one Incentive Cover: Kevin Maguire (1:25). The Kevin Maguire variant is the third of the themed series. This cover follows the same formula, featuring one Hero and one Titan. This cover features Batman in a Batwing as he is defensively maneuvering away from an attacking King Ghidorah.
