As some of the Green Lantern Corps are asked about Lobo’s location by the United Planets, they learn of some willing to kill the Last Czarnian rather than allow him to stand trial for his crimes. The Justice League has been warned of this as they use Desaad’s torture chambers to hide Lobo. Meanwhile, Batman, who never dreams unless he wants to, receives a warning from someone using his subconscious guilt over Martian Manhunter’s death. An evil is about to arrive. Yet, who or what it is unclear. Is this force connected to Darkseid, or is another malevolent being involved?

4Story – 4: I had hoped for more scenes from the past that led to the events of this series, and this chapter does end abruptly. I think Chip Zdarsky is writing more for the trade/hardcover/collected edition than for single issue comics. Does this hinder the book. It doesn’t for me. I did enjoy reading it. I just feel like Zdarsky is dragging the plot to make it fit in the allotted issues. It’s still a good one to read in spite of all that though.

4Art – 4: Some characters’ costume symbols are poorly done, and others look off. The art is otherwise good. This flaw, however, forced me to lower the rating.

4Cover Art – 4: The Justice League themselves look off, but the rest of the image is great.

5Variant Cover Art – 5: I hope to see more variants like this. It’s one of the best ones I’ve seen.
