Leonardo Lane, the brother of Lois who is the Daemon Rose, is trying to find Checkmate and their assassin who is impersonating Slade Wilson. Had he been the real Deathstroke, Leo would have been dead. Meanwhile, The United Order and the Justice League must join forces to battle the Synmar Utopica. Yet, every attack is increasing his power. The only option available is to exile Synmar to the Phantom Zone. The United Order wants the projector after this is done, but they’ll have to go through the entire League to do so. Various governments throughout the universe will be advised of Synmar’s imprisonment.

4Story – 4: It ends a bit abruptly, like Bendis may have been rushed to finish it and move on to the next serial. I also wish we would have seen more Black Adam and Naomi scenes. They just joined the League, yet they feel pushed off to the side as an afterthought in this chapter. Those are the major problems I have with the story. It’s still good. There’s just a need of a few improvements here and there.

5Art – 5: Phil Hester does do a great job on the art, but my problems with it stem from the same issues I had with the previous one. I feel like Hester would be more suited for the next story arc.

4Cover Art – 4: The dialogue balloon ruins the image that in itself looks rushed a bit. It’s still a good cover in spite of its flaws.

5Variant Cover Art – 5: This variant is beautifully done. Nothing more needs to be said.
