An enraged Naomi McDuffie has come face to face with Zumbado in the wake of the Justice League’s defeat. However, the League and Naomi are forced to retreat to the Hall of Justice. Alliances are formed as Naomi and Black Adam are asked to join the Justice League, and Zumbado teams up with Brutus and the person who created the dimension traveling device, McMurph. Zumbado wants the technology to invade the Justice League’s corner of the multiverse.

A “Justice League Dark” bonus story closes this issue.

5Story – 5: We get a bit of a calm before the storm type of chapter as both sides regroup and plan their next moves. I still haven’t read Naomi’s previous comics, but this story is told in a way that they are not required to understand what went on in the past two or three comics in the series. I’ll get around to reading them. I promise. I just need to finish some manuscripts on a deadline first. Anyhow, I’ve really been enjoying the Bendis JL as much as Snyder’s. They go in different and similar directions all at once in a fun manner.

4Art – 4: This issue possibly suffers from the last one’s small nitpick of one too many double page spreads. I do like those normally, but I still am not sure if they were used too much in the past two chapters of this serial. This doesn’t hurt the art’s rating. Each panel is perfectly drawn. I just needed to get the double page thing off my chest.

4Cover Art – 4: The blurb is a bit misleading on purpose to avoid spoilers. However, we still have another top notch cover from David Marquez.

5Variant Cover Art – 5: While his recent work on “Superman: Red & Blue” is somewhat better, I did like Panosian’s art on this cover.
