Superman’s actions, shutting down the Reticulants and synthesizing the crystals fuel has forced Lexor into poverty. The Lexorians are desperate to seek new lives in United Planet governed communities.
The council agrees to relocate the Lexorians and so Lois and Clark return to the planet they just barely escaped from as some of Lexor is still deeply loyal to their benefactor.
Lex addresses his followers laying blame for the planet’s dire situation on Lex, Superman and most shockingly, his loyal A.I droid X-99.
Banished to the moon X-99, starts a chain of events that could destroy everything Lex, Lois and Clark hold dear.
Story – 4: A well crafted story, but to be brutally honest, this issue doesn’t really need to exist. Hear me out! The first two issues told a story that, though left open, told the story to a natural conclusion. It didn’t need further exploration.
Art – 5: With little to no action to speak of this issue, it’s nice to see that Pugh has no issue illustrating the character beats and political dramas with ease and keep them engaging.
Cover Art – 5: A really nice homage to the Kevin Nowlan art of Superman versus Aliens! Paquette is definitely bringing his ‘A’ game to these covers lately.
Variant Cover Art – 4: A great rendition of older Superman’s suit. Still keeping the rivalry between Superman and Lex alive. A lush palette and powerful symbolism break through in this variant.
