Things are looking bad for our heroes. Sonic’s world is gone, as are the Justice League, and, less unfortunately, Darkseid. While Tails seems to think there’s still a chance all of those things are still out there, it doesn’t change the fact that DC’s earth has lost six of its greatest heroes. Thankfully, Mr. Terrific and Sonic come up with a plan: Team Sonic will play the part of the new Justice League until they can find the old heroes.
They get to work instantly: Silver (who was given the ring by John Stewart) joins Lanterns such as Tomar-Re, Ch’p and Kilowog in defending Sector 2006 from the likes of Sinestro; Amy Rose (dressed as Wonder Woman) helps Supergirl and Hawkgirl fend off an invasion of Washington D.C by Gorilla Grodd; Knuckles (now assuming the identity of Superman) protects Metropolis and easily fends off an attempted poisoning by Lex Luthor; Shadow (now the Dark Knight Detective, Batman) easily knocks out the Joker; and Sonic (now The Flash of Central City) overwhelms an at first unimpressed Reverse-Flash.
While they do all this, the heroes also find chaos emeralds at the scene of the crime. They meet up with Tails (now Cyborg) at the Hall of Justice, where he reveals that alongside the Teen Titans, he managed to locate the sixth of the seven emeralds. Only one is left, and it’s where everyone else is: a pocket dimension caused by an error of Darkseid’s Dimensional Engine. The emeralds will locate the seventh, thus restoring everything to normal. While Shadow has his reservations, the group agree to the mission, and so, they head out to save the League…

Story – 4: Not much to it, but it was a fun story nonetheless! A few pages of amusing “what if this Sonic character was this DC hero”, really.
There’s REALLY not that much to say. If you’re a fan of crossover stuff like this, give it a go! It’s fast paced and amusing at the very least!
Also, I’d love to see Knuckles and Lex fight all the time. Lex wouldn’t last 5 minutes with that guy’s temper.
Art – 4: As nice as the previous issues. I especially love the art on Shadow as Batman.
Cover Art – 5: It’s delightful.
Variant Cover Art – 2: Eh, not great.
