Damian and Constantine go to the House of Mystery. The magic wielders are trying to find a way to chew vampirism. While there Constantine visits Ollie who is prepping to leave. Ollie also shares an intimate moment with Dinah before he leaves. He feels he has to confront Hawkman and end the human farms in Kansas. A group of vampires arrives at the house after Constantine leaves.

Also Supergirl is mourning her inability to help. She decides to go to Australia to find a way to bring back the sun. She gets on a ship with Steel and Black Manta. They are then rescued by Jayna of the Wonder Twins who has been protecting Kara. The four continue the mission together.

Batgirl has a nightmare about killing Dick. She then breaks into Professor Pyg’s lab and frees Harley. Harley, Frankenstein, and Dinah join her to kill Dick in Gotham. The final page shows each group on their mission.

5Story – 5: his issue is a very well crafted set up issue. All of the main characters are given their quests, and create there teams. It is building up the final arc of the series to be quite fun and exciting. I’m not sure whose story I am now excited about.

2Art – 2: I can’t say much more about the art than I’ve already said in previous reviews. It’s very angular and simple. Face shapes change between panels, making some characters unrecognizable. Done faces, even close up, just look… weird. The colors cover up a lot of empty backgrounds. As a whole, it just doesn’t work for me.

5Cover Art – 5: I love the attention to detail here. The different missions circled on the map. Ollie’s reflection in the knife looks cool. Speaking of cool, Black Canary looks awesome in this image. Tough and ready to rumble.

5Variant Cover Art A – 5: Batgirl holding two crossbows, prepped to kill vampires. Such a sweet cover.

5Variant Cover Art B – 5: This cover is appropriately creepy. I’m not sure what is happening to Diana here, she seems to be revolving beyond a vampire. Regardless it is really well done.

“The magic wielders are trying to find a way to chew vampirism.”

Surely the word I’ve bolded and underlined in the second sentence of the review is a typo. Otherwisre it gives the review an interesting take 😉
