Batman, Robin, and Superman must defeat an army of Superman’s robots. Meanwhile the worlds of Rann and the Old West are being destroyed. The trio defeat the robots and enter the Fortress of Solitude. They then confront Etrigan on their way to attacking Auteur.IO. Their attack allows Earth-0 Superman and Batman to be freed from the crystal they were trapped in. Together they are then able to defeat Auteur.IO by controlling his armor and freeing the being inside.

4Story – 4: It felt like they defeated the robot army far too quickly for how dangerous it felt at the end of last issue. Other than that, it was a strong issue that wrapped up the confrontation with Auteur.IO nicely. I am glad that they revealed Auteur.IO backstory in a previous issue, leaving more of this issue for the conflict.

5Art – 5: Reis’ art is fantastic as always. I will miss seeing his illustrations these “Golden-Age” era Superman, Batman, and Robin in their appropriate worlds.

4Cover Art – 4: This cover has a very cool eerie feel to it. The robo-Superman army coming out of the dark with glowing red eyes has a great effect. The darkness in the background, tinged with red, is very eye catching. I didn’t really like the purple tinged Batman in the foreground. I am not a fan of the photo-realistic Batman. I may be in the minority in that, but that’s ok. I think Batman is so fantastical that showing too much like a real person kind of threatens my suspension of disbelief.

4Variant Cover Art – 4: This one has a similar emphasis on photo-realism, but I think it works better in this one. Showcasing each of the characters in a different role allows the reader to be caught up in the story much better.
