Michael Bishop Cast as Jonathan Kent for “Superman & Lois” Season 3

The CW has announced that actor Michael Bishop has been cast as Jonathan Kent for Season 3 of “Superman & Lois,” replacing Jordan Elsass, who stepped down from the role for personal reasons.

Hailing from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, Bishop recently made his American film debut with his breakout lead role of DJ Maz in Disney Channel’s Original Movie Spin.

Other recent credits include the role of Teddy in the Australian TV series Grace Beside Me, a supporting role in the feature film Swinging Safari, lead roles in short films Shelter, Skin Like Bark, Detention, Pet Rock, Hunter and Gatherer and Indiana.

Bishop is repped by Kimberly Kottwitz at Brave Artists Management and Gilchrist Management.

Production on the third season of the series begins this week, with the first episode of the new season expected to premiere in January 2023.

Congratulations and good luck to Michael Bishop on being cast to play Jon Kent, one of Superman’s twin sons. I look forward to seeing what he will bring to the character for Superman and Lois.
