Deadline.com reports that Rhona Mitra has been cast in the role of Mercy Graves for Season 4 of “Supergirl”.
As Lex Luthor’s longtime bodyguard, Mercy is described as an ex-CADMUS agent who has always believed in human exceptionalism. With both her boss and his mother both in prison, Mercy is stepping out of the Luthor shadow and running her own show. With her biting wit and lethal brawn, Mercy steadily becomes a key figure in National City’s growing “human-first” movement.
Actress Rhona Mitra is probably best known for her role as Dr. Rachel Scott on TNT’s “The Last Ship”.
In other casting news, Robert Baker, will also join the show in a recurring role as Mercy’s brother, Otis Graves.
Described as Mercy’s defacto right hand man, What Otis lacks in brains, he makes up for with his savant-like abilities to assassinate aliens.
Robert Baker is probably best known for playing Dr. Percy on “Grey’s Anatomy”.
Wait! Mercy and Otis are siblings???
It’s almost like Ned Beatty’s Otis wrote his name into the show.

Yeah I don’t really see a point in having Lex’s two most well known hench persons being related. Otis Graves, that might actually be straining the call-back worse than “Tess Mercer”.
I wonder if Otis will mispronounce Lena’s last name and call her Miss Lutor, just like he did for Lex in Superman the movie.
