Melissa Benoist Wins Teen Choice Award

Celebrating this year’s top teen icons in television, music, film, sports, comedy and digital, the 2017 Teen Choice Awards were presented on Sunday, August 13, with the “Supergirl” TV series coming away with an award.

Melissa Benoist won the Choice Action TV Actress (#ChoiceActionTVActress) category, beating out Caity Lotz – “Legends of Tomorrow,” Candice Patton – “The Flash,” Danielle Panabaker – “The Flash,” Emily Bett Rickards – “Arrow,” and Jordana Brewster – “Lethal Weapon”.

In her acceptance speech she thanked her fans saying, “You guys, thank you so much, this is my first Teen Choice Award. I’m so glad I get to put on a cape and fight like a girl everyday! And I hope that every girl in this room knows that you are as strong as you think you can be! Thank you guys so much!”

“Supergirl” Season 3 premieres on Monday, October 9, at 8.00pm on The CW.

Well, inadvertently a new talent of Melissa’s came to the surface…aside from being an actress, singer and dancer…she makes quite the screamer!
