“Supergirl” star Melissa Benoist and her husband Chris Wood announced via Instagram today that they are expecting their first child.
Pictured with their two dogs, Benoist held up a small blue baby shirt in the photo, with the caption: “A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon”.
In another photo the 31 year old actress jokingly caressed her husband’s fake baby bump, with Woods saying on Instagram while his baby bump was fake, the baby new was real.
The CW has released a video in which the cast of “Supergirl” talk about what they’ve learned from being part of the show. “Supergirl” will return for its final 13 episodes on Tuesday, August 24. […]

Yeah MattComics, that’s a good question. Maybe they’ll schedule the show for a later airing date like in Febuary or March instead of October like how Legends of Tomarrow does in January instead of October.

For the show, are they going to write her pregnancy into the series or maybe just have the series take a longer break between seasons? For the kind of show it is not sure you can write around it or compensate with clever camera angles.
